Using WipeChats
1. Scan
Open WipeChats while you are signed in to ChatGPT, set your filters, and choose SCAN ALL CONVERSATIONS.
2. Select
Check conversations individually or use the selection control. The default minimum age is 30 days.
3. Review
Use REVIEW IN CHATGPT to check your selection before deleting.
4. Delete
Deletion is performed only after explicit confirmation. Deletion is permanent.
5. Verify
Where technically possible, WipeChats checks whether the conversation no longer appears in the available conversation list.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't I delete conversations younger than 30 days?
WipeChats intentionally uses a 30-day minimum age to keep recent conversations out of cleanup actions.
Can I skip project conversations?
Yes, using the project conversation filter.
Can I include archived conversations?
Yes, when you enable the option and those conversations are available to the extension.
Are conversations deleted automatically?
No. You select, review, and explicitly confirm the deletion.
What happens if verification fails?
WipeChats is designed not to continue blindly when a deletion cannot be verified.
